cac news

Hello Members!

The CAC is happy to announce the online brochure for this summer's camp is now available! We're thrilled to be offering over 40 camps for students who will be entering Grades K-9 in September. We've expanded programming for our youngest campers, and have 25 new camps that cover a wide range of interests.

We encourage you to look at our online brochure, and remind you that you can register with just a $75 deposit!

Many of our camps have limited spaces, so we encourage you to register early for best selection. The special "members" link below will allow you to access the online brochure. At present, this is the only functioning link to the camp pages. The regular website links will be made available to the public Friday.

For those interested, print brochures will be available shortly.

Please contact us with any questions. We hope to see you in July!

LINE & WASH WATERCOLOR

Instructor -  Russ Johnson

9 am – 12:30 pm

Please bring reference photos for landscapes, still life, or subjects of your choice [vacation photos would be ideal]. Bring your watercolors, cold press watercolor paper (preferably 140lb. Arches or other artist-grade paper], and a black archival pen (Pigma Micron .08 would be ideal) for this session. No pencils; no erasers. Our goal will be to complete at least two or three quick, loose sketches -- the kind that you might do while sitting on the beach in St. Lucia.

PUTTING PEOPLE IN A LANDSCAPE OR SEASCAPE

Instructor – Barbara Cox

9 am – 12:30 pm

Bring a painting you have started, or start from scratch. Bring your watercolors, paper and reference for landscapes you are interested in painting, and learn how to enhance your piece by adding figures to the scene.

CREATIVE COLLAGE AND MIXED MEDIA
Instructor: Tamara Woronczuk
9 am - 12:30 pm

Begin class by creating a collection of unique surfaces-use stamping, aluminum foil, masking tape and shaving cream to create rich and colorful textured surfaces. Then dive into your own collection of interesting ephemera, fabrics, yarns, paints, photos, beads, magazine art and blend together to design your own unique view of the world. No collage experience necessary. Just come prepared for fun.

All artists who attend a workshop will be invited to share their artwork in the Gourgaud Gallery for the September Winter Workshop Series exhibit. You will be contacted one month prior to the opening reception for the drop off day and time.
Thank you, The Gourgaud Gallery Committee
