“UNITED FEDERATION OF TEACHERS PAINTING GROUP"--
SHOWING EXTENDED THROUGH APRIL 28, 2013

This exhibit is a collection of paintings that the southern New Jersey Chapter of the United Federation of Teachers (NYC) painting class, located in Manalapan, New Jersey. The class is called “Acrylic Painting”. Linda Gilbert (retired Art Teacher), the instructor, originated the class in 2010. The members of the class are all retired New York City teachers, or their spouses. The UFT Welfare Fund maintains a Department of Retiree Programs to develop and conduct informational meetings, with cultural, instructional, and recreational programs for retirees. At the reception the artists will be available to share and discuss their work with the visitors.



As part of the non-profit Cranbury Arts Council, the Gourgaud Gallery donates 20% of any art sales to the Cranbury Arts Council and its programs that support and promote the Arts in our community. Cash or a check made out to the Cranbury Arts Council is accepted as payment. The gallery is located in Town Hall, 23-A North Main Street, and is free and open to the public Mon- Fri from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and the First, Third & Last Sunday of the month from 1-3 p.m. New exhibit receptions fall on the First Sunday from 1-3 p.m.(meet the artists, refreshments served).
