Open call letter
It's that time of year again to prepare for another Open Call Exhibit at the Gourgaud Gallery. This is our seventh annual event and the theme this year is "CONSTRUCTED PIECES". The reception will take place on Sunday January 3RD, 1:00 -3:00 p.m.
Any painting, drawing, collage, or other medium, which portrays or includes CONSTRUCTED PIECES (THINGS THAT ARE MAN-MADE, NOT MADE BY NATURE), is suitable. We look forward to another very successful exhibit. We are limiting the entries to 2-3 pieces per artist. We do our best to make sure everyone has the same chances for exposure.
The date and time for receipt of work will be Tuesday, December 29TH, 9:00 -10:00 a.m. at the gallery. If you cannot drop off the work at that time, leave it in the closet (before Dec. 29th ---work brought in after the appointed time and date will not be accepted) along with the application, in clearly marked bags. Each piece should be clearly labeled on the back with name, title and price. We will notify you of accepted work as soon as possible.
It would be helpful if you would provide your email on the application form so that we can be in touch more effectively.
Pick up day will be from 1-2 PM on the last Sunday, January 31st. Work not picked up at that time will be left in the closets for pick up during the week. To download an application, click on attachment marked exhibit title
